Karen Clayton is an assistant vice president and equal employment officer in the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Clayton most recently served as director of workforce development, diversity, and equal employment opportunity (EEO) functions in the Atlanta Fed's human resources (HR) department. She joined the Bank in 1985 as a recruiting assistant in HR and was promoted to positions of increasing responsibility. She has led a number of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, training and department administration. She has been directly involved in the District's EEO initiatives since 2000.
Clayton graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. She is a certified professional in employee relations law and a past recipient of the Sixth District's President's Award for Excellence.
