Welcome to the Museum of Trade, Finance, and the Fed in the New Orleans Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Here, you can explore how finance grew from trade, how New Orleans evolved into a bustling port and financial center, and how, over the centuries, the institutions, instruments, and people of New Orleans made it all possible

The museum features a brief video review of the financial history of New Orleans; a display that tells all about money throughout the history of New Orleans; an interactive exhibit that lets you design your own banknote, complete with your photograph; and more. You can read more about the Museum of Trade, Finance, and the Fed in this introduction to the museum and get a preview of the exhibits.

As a supplement to your visit to the museum, a map for a self-guided walking tour of significant locations in our financial history is available. View a listing of the walking tour landmarks Adobe PDF file format.
