Register Now for a "Conversation with the Chairman"

Join high school teachers from across the country on September 30, 2010, as they gather for a unique opportunity to learn from Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

During "Conversation with the Chairman," Bernanke will address educators via videoconference. The chairman will also answer questions from the audience at the 12 Reserve Banks. Those wishing to submit a question for the chairman should do so during registration before September 10.

Various economic education events will take place across the Federal Reserve System in conjunction with Chairman Bernanke's address. There is no cost to attend the events, which include lunch and conference materials.

The Atlanta Fed will host "Teaching Financial Crisis: Conversation with the Chairman" from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Register online at the Georgia Council on Economic Education's Web site, or print and mail the registration form to: Georgia Council on Economic Education, P.O. Box 1619, Atlanta, Georgia 30301-1619. The deadline to register is September 16, 2010.

The Atlanta Fed's branch offices in Birmingham, Jacksonville, Miami, Nashville, and New Orleans will also host events on September 30.

The Board of Governors will offer a live webcast of Chairman Bernanke's address, beginning at 2:30 p.m. (EDT) on the day of the event. Upon registration, you will receive an email with a link to the webcast.
