Teaching Financial Crises: Conversation with the Chairman

Sponsored by the Federal Reserve Banks and GCEE

Location: Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta

Economic crises are not new to the economic or political landscape. This workshop examines past economic challenges and compares them to the current economic issues faced by policymakers. Participants in this one-day program for high school economics teachers will examine past and current economic issues through a series of eight new lessons from the Council, then have the opportunity to engage in a live conversation with Federal Reserve Board of Governors Chairman Ben Bernanke. This is a rare chance to bolster your understanding of the Federal Reserve System at an event designed for educators.

Breakfast, lunch, and conference materials will be provided. There is no charge for this program, but registration is required. Space is limited. Registration deadline is Monday, September 10.
