Join us for a seminar and workshop for teachers and get an insider's perspective on how the central bank works. The event includes student activities for the classroom.

Topics include:

  • Economic indicators—How do we measure the health of the economy? How do economists use the information to make policy decisions?
  • Monetary policy—How does the Fed's ability to change the amount of liquidity and credit in the economy promote sustainable economic growth and stable prices?
  • Fiscal policy versus monetary policy—Learn the differences between fiscal and monetary policy as well as how they work together to help the United States prosper.

There is no charge for this program, but registration is required. Registration deadline is Monday, March 5, 2012. Space is limited. Certificates for professional development credit hours are available upon request. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
