The Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta; the Tennessee Department of Education, Division of Career and Technical Education; and the Tennessee Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy are committed to providing quality learning opportunities for educators. The two-day workshop will provide secondary educators and secondary student (pre-service) teachers with the employment requirement for teaching the required personal finance course. The session will allow educators to expand their knowledge of personal finance concepts and provide them with curriculum and supplemental teaching tools for use in the classroom. All concepts covered during the workshop will focus on the four key areas of the personal finance course standards: income, money management, spending and credit, and saving and investing. Participants must attend both days to receive the employment requirement to teach the personal finance course.
There is no charge for this program, but registration is required. Space is limited and registration will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
