Join us for a showing of the inspirational movie The Pursuit of Happyness and learn how you can use the film in your classroom to teach important personal finance concepts. Chronicling the true life story of Chris Gardner, whose determination took him from homelessness to a career as a successful stockbroker, the film includes many lessons for students on how to make wise financial decisions. Topics that will be linked to the film include goal setting, taxes, the importance of education, planning and money management, financial responsibility and decision making, and the economics of happiness. The movie, lesson plans, and a buffet dinner are provided at no cost.
We encourage you to register early, as space is limited. However, in the event that seats become available, you will have the opportunity to register on site on the day of the workshop, at 4:30 p.m. (after the conference).
