Enjoy dinner and leave with new strategies, interactive lessons, and free resources. Discover ideas for incorporating clips from Cinderella Man, the movie inspired by the life of heavyweight boxing champion James J. Braddock, into your unit on the Great Depression. This workshop for middle and high school teachers of history and economics includes hands-on lessons to help teach the Great Depression, unemployment, and human capital. Included in the lesson is a look at the Great Depression in Florida and Georgia. Teachers will receive a copy of the movie, the St. Louis Fed's Great Depression curriculum, and SMART lessons from the Atlanta Fed.
There is no charge for this program, but registration is required as space is limited. Educators are responsible for their own travel expenses.
