Location: Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, TN

The Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Memphis Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and the Middle Tennessee State University Center for Economic Education are committed to providing quality learning opportunities for educators.  The two-day workshop will provide secondary educators and college pre-service (student) teachers with the employment requirement for teaching the required high school personal finance course. The session will allow educators to expand their knowledge of personal finance concepts and provide them with curriculum and supplemental teaching tools for use in the classroom. Concepts covered will focus on the new personal finance course standards: financial responsibility and personal decision making; education, careers, and income; planning and money management; credit and debt; risk management; and, saving and investing.  Participants must attend both days to receive the employment requirement to teach the high school personal finance course.

Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. There is no charge for this program, but registration is required. Space is limited.
