The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, along with the Board of Governors, makes up the Federal Reserve System.

The Atlanta Fed, as we're commonly known, covers the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. You can go to our "About the Fed" page to learn more.

The Bank's three primary functions are the following:

• regulating and supervising financial institutions,
