Biography
Pedro Silos is a research economist and associate policy adviser on the macroeconomics team in the research department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. His major research areas are macroeconomics and labor economics. In particular, he has focused on aggregate implications of labor market dynamics, the cyclical behavior of income shares, and income inequality, among other topics.
Prior to joining the Bank in 2005, Dr. Silos was an instructor and research assistant at the University of Iowa and a teaching assistant at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Silos received his doctorate in economics in 2005 from the University of Iowa and his master's degree in economics from the University of Virginia. He earned a degree in economics from the University San Pablo-CEU in Spain.
