ATLANTA FED RECOGNIZES FIVE EMPLOYEES WITH PRESIDENT’S AWARD

ATLANTA–The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta awarded its annual President’s Award for Excellence to Jack Bonin, Rosi Chica, David Hicks, Katie Lane and Charles Washington. The awards were presented by Jack Guynn, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Fed, in a recent ceremony. The President’s Award recognizes Sixth Federal Reserve District employees who have distinguished themselves by their outstanding performances.

Jack Bonin has worked in several departments during his 26-year career at the New Orleans Branch, but he is best known for his work in business development, where he is an account executive II. Bonin is well respected by the financial institution customers he serves in the New Orleans zone as well as by his coworkers in the Atlanta Fed’s Sixth District, where he is considered a top performer in his field.

Rosi Chica, an accounting project analyst at the Miami Branch, performs a number of different roles there, including working in accounting functions and in serving as the liaison with businesses that lease space at the Miami Branch. Chica has worked at the branch for 32 years and is described by her management team as someone who practices integrity and is hard-working and results-oriented.

David Hicks is a support services section manager with the Birmingham Branch, where he has worked for 20 years. In this role, Hicks serves as chef and manager of the branch’s food services function. In receiving the President’s Award, Hicks was recognized for his management strengths, dedication to quality service and the many ways he exemplifies the Atlanta Fed’s core values.

Katie Lane, who serves as a customer service coordinator in the Atlanta office, has been with the Atlanta Fed for 31 years. In her position, Lane serves a lead analyst with responsibility for providing telephone support for more than 2,500 financial institutions in the Sixth Federal Reserve District. Lane was recognized by her management team for her outstanding customer service contributions.

Charles Washington is a senior support services clerk in the Jacksonville Branch, where he has worked for 33 years. In his job, he works with staff from throughout the branch as well as visitors, including many dignitaries. In receiving the President’s Award, Washington was recognized for his commitment to quality, cost-effectiveness and his willingness to go the extra mile.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation’s central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
