TAYLOR PROMOTED TO ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT

Edwina Taylor has been promoted to assistant vice president in the statistical reports department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, announced Jack Guynn, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Fed.

Taylor joined the Bank in 1970 in the statistical reports area. In 1975, she was promoted to assistant manager in that function. She was promoted to manager for statistical reports in 1984 and director in 1989. As part of the Atlanta Fed's research division, the statistical reports department gathers and refines data from financial institutions for use by the Federal Reserve System in formulating monetary policy decisions, administering reserve requirements and supervising depository institutions.

She earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics from Georgia State University and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation's central banking system, the Atlanta Fed takes part in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
