WARREN APPOINTED DISTRICTWIDE CHECK AJUSTMENT FUNCTION OFFICER AT ATLANTA FED

Joel Warren, assistant vice president in the Nashville Branch, has been assigned responsibility for the Districtwide check adjustment function for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, announced Jack Guynn, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Fed. Warren assumed his new duties on Jan. 1, 2004.

Warren joined the Birmingham Branch in 1974. He was appointed assistant vice president at the Nashville Branch in 1989. Most recently he was responsible for the Sixth District check product office and was the District transition manager for check modernization.

A native of Birmingham, Ala., he holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Jacksonville State University. He completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Tennessee.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and sections of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation’s central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
