Special Topic Show your stuff in the Fed's Lesson Plan of the Year contest
The Federal Reserve offers many publications, Web sites, and multimedia materials that can enrich your teaching of economics, personal finance, and other disciplines. A perfect way to explore these materials in depth and share them with your class—and with other teachers—is to enter the Fed's lesson plan contest. Now in its fourth year, the contest challenges middle and high school educators to develop lesson plans featuring Fed materials. Besides the benefits of exposure to new materials and ideas, the contest offers up to $2,500 in savings bond prizes, professional recognition, and the challenge of a competition. Thinking about it? Ready to start? The contest entry deadline is January 29, 2010. Entries must be classroom tested before they're submitted, so don't wait to begin. We look forward to seeing your plan!
