Federal Reserve to Host Payment System Improvement Town Halls
The purpose of the meetings, scheduled at Reserve Bank locations across the country, is to spark discussion and gather feedback on potential strategies for addressing gaps and opportunities in the U.S. payment system. Leaders from the Reserve Banks will be on hand to facilitate the dialogue, which will include such topics as speed, security, business to business (B2B), settlement, and international issues.
Payment system improvement roadmap coming soon
Participants will have an opportunity to learn more and weigh in on the strategies and solutions under consideration for the roadmap, to be shared in a paper this fall.
The Town Halls are open to the public and free to attend, but advance registration is required. Space is limited, so register today.
"We encourage all interested parties to attend these Town Hall meetings," said Narayana Kocherlakota, president of the Minneapolis Fed and chair of the Financial Services Policy Committee. "The type of dialogue is important as the entire industry works to improve the payment system."
