Explore Presentations from Cleveland Fed's Recent Policy Summit
The Cleveland Fed's 2012 Policy Summit focused on identifying effective strategies and programs to strengthen and rebuild communities. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the annual conference that brings together community and economic development practitioners, public policy experts, researchers, elected officials, and funders. Cleveland Fed president and CEO Sandra Pianalto noted in her keynote remarks that organizers also placed a special emphasis on the importance of taking a holistic approach to community development efforts.
Conference sessions included discussions on labor and housing markets, small business and entrepreneurship, and education and workforce development issues. A common conference theme was on how municipalities can best address local community and economic development needs in light of reduced federal and state funding.
