New Website Aggregates Federal Reserve Community Development Resources

Users who tap the Atlanta Fed website for community development resources now have a much broader source to explore. In June, the Federal Reserve System launched the website FedCommunities.org, which includes research, publications, multimedia resources, and more.

Through this single web gateway, users can access hundreds of relevant community development materials from all the Federal Reserve offices. Interested in audioconferences on workforce development approaches or data on foreclosure mitigation efforts? Users can find information on these topics and others on the new site.

Robust search functions will help users locate resources across multiple topics and media types. Regular users can also sign up to receive notifications when new resources are added.

FedCommunities.org also features the new interactive report Federal Reserve Community Development Perspectives: A Summary of Activities, Insights, and Future Opportunities. The report showcases the Fed's recent community development efforts to address barriers to economic growth and promote fair and informed access to financial markets. It includes brief summaries of community development work at the Fed, organized into four topic areas: people, place, policy and practice, and small business. Within each area, there is background information that helps to provide context for this work; a sampling of key research, outreach programs, and other initiatives; and ideas on future challenges, needs, and opportunities.
