The Alabama Department of Revenue reports that even though sales tax collections were up year over year, total collections declined less than 0.1 percent from a year earlier on a three-month moving average.

According to data from Florida's Department of Revenue, October was the seventh consecutive month of year-over-year increases in total tax revenues for the state and the largest year-over-year percent gain since 2006.
