Pedro Silos is a research economist and assistant policy adviser on the macroeconomics team in the research department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. His major research area is macroeconomics with an emphasis on business cycles. In particular, he has focused on aggregate implications of heterogeneity in consumption and investment behavior, aggregate dynamics of the labor market, and methodological aspects of macroeconomic modeling.

Prior to joining the Bank in 2005, Dr. Silos was an instructor and research assistant at the University of Iowa and a teaching assistant at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Silos received his doctorate in economics in 2005 from the University of Iowa and his master's degree in economics from the University of Virginia. He earned a degree in economics from the University San Pablo-CEU in Spain.
