Shari Bower is the regional executive of the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She is responsible for the Atlanta Fed's Regional Economic Information Network (REIN) for South Florida and is a member of the core group of Atlanta Fed leaders advising on monetary policy. Her work with business executives and community leaders in the branch's 13-county area helps to bring business insights to national monetary policy deliberations. Shari also oversees the Miami Branch's board of directors and the District's Advisory Council on Travel and Tourism and contributes to regional community and economic development outreach efforts.

Shari began her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a summer intern in 2004 and held positions of increasing responsibility in financial institution supervision, payments and market infrastructure policy, and the policy planning office. She joined the Atlanta Fed's Retail Payments Office in January 2020, coordinating the Bank's payments innovation strategy and leading the internal risk and enterprise communications teams.

Shari is actively engaged in her community and serves on the boards of Junior Achievement of Greater Miami and the Center for Financial Training International. A native of Queens, New York, Shari earned a bachelor's degree in international relations and anthropology from Tufts University in Massachusetts and studied at the School for International Training in Cochabamba, Bolivia. She earned a master's degree in public administration with a specialization in policy analysis from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
