WebScriber: News at Your Fingertips

An enhanced feature on the Atlanta Fed’s Web site is now providing more services to readers of both online materials and print publications. WebScriber, the bank’s new online subscription and information management system, allows readers not only to manage their subscriptions to print and online materials but also to register to receive news summaries and e-mail alerts on specific topics.

WebScriber E-mail & Publication Service

Get the information you want
WebScriber allows readers to select topics of interest to them. For example, Financial Update readers may consider selecting the topics “Federal Reserve regulations,” “automated clearinghouse (ACH),” “payment system,” and “foreign banking.” A subscriber would then begin receiving e-mail alerts when the Atlanta Fed publishes information related to those topics.

“We know time-strapped bankers, educators, attorneys, and others will appreciate the automated delivery of customized alerts tailored to their interests,” said Carole Starkey, Web director for the Atlanta Fed.

Through WebScriber, subscribers can also sign up to receive the Electronic News Digest, a summary of all the news and information posted on the Atlanta Fed Web site during the previous month.

Managing your own subscriptions
WebScriber allows readers to subscribe to the print or online editions of Economic Review, EconSouth, and the annual report as well as online-only publications such as Financial Update, working papers, and circular letters. A subscriber can also change a mailing address, update selections, or discontinue a subscription. And anyone may place requests for back issues of printed periodicals and brochures.
