Growing Economies in Indian Country: A National Summit will focus on the challenges and opportunities for economic growth in Native American communities. The forum will be broadcast live May 1. The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis are hosting the event. The summit will engage tribal leaders, policymakers, financial industry professionals, and community development service providers. The program agenda is focused on addressing:

  • challenges to economic development in Indian country
  • opportunities to strengthen tribal enterprise development
  • opportunities to strengthen Native American entrepreneurship and access to small business capital and
  • opportunities to strengthen governance and legal structures
