The Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta, New York, and Philadelphia invite you to attend the Credit Bureau Data Users Conference. The use and popularity of credit bureau data in economic research have proliferated in the years since the financial crisis. This conference will bring together credit data users to share ideas, experiences, information, and best practices to conduct both scholarly and policy-relevant research. The first day of the conference will focus on the usage of specific credit bureau data unique to the Federal Reserve System, and the second day will be a more general discussion of research using credit bureau data.

Attendance on the first day of the conference will be limited to individuals with access to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York/Equifax Consumer Credit Panel (CCP) and Equifax's Credit Risk Insight Servicing McDash (CRISM). The conference will feature panel discussions of experiences, discoveries, and recommendations in using credit bureau data with numerous subject matter experts from across the System. Some of the topics to be addressed include data issues such as geocoding, migration, and developing a household panel; data issues specific to the tradeline-level data; unique data mergers using credit bureau data and new data opportunities; and the role of CCP for Community Development.

The second day of the conference will highlight research that uses credit bureau data and will be open to researchers outside of the Federal Reserve System. Authors will be notified of acceptance by January 30, 2019.

The registration deadline is March 1, 2019, or sooner if attendance reaches capacity. Please note that your registration is contingent upon both clearance for access to the data (on Day 1) and space. We will notify you if there is a problem. Some meals will be provided during the conference, but all other expenses, including transportation and lodging, are the participants' responsibility. The conference hotel is the Hyatt Hotel Midtown. Please note that the preferred rate of $199 per night is only guaranteed through February 13, 2019.

We look forward to seeing you in March.
