Americas Center explores remittances, immigration

Immigration and remittances are two complex topics that, though intertwined, are rarely studied together. However, a recent conference hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Americas Center did just that.

The November 5–6 Research Conference on Remittances and Immigration brought together leading scholars in both fields to discuss topics such as measuring immigration's effects on wages, the impact of immigrants on the high school completion rates of U.S. natives, and the relationship between immigration, offshoring, and American jobs.
