Atlanta Fed Introduces Redesigned Web Site
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta today introduced a redesigned Web site that provides site visitors with improved usability, including new content features, additional links to related content and navigation that requires fewer mouse clicks.
To improve navigation from the Bank’s home page, the Atlanta Fed’s new site features distinct category pages, which are based on user interest and topic. Each category page is continually updated and features a variety of original content, including Atlanta Fed research, publications, conference papers, policy-related speeches and news releases, as well as new links to related topics.
Visitors to the Atlanta Fed’s Web site include bankers and banking consumers, academics and researchers, teachers and students, other banking regulators and reporters. “The Atlanta Fed’s new Web site utilizes a number of different navigational formats for greater functionality as well as new imagery and graphics. In addition, we’ve done some of the research for site visitors by providing related links to selected features on the site. All told, these improvements make visiting the Bank’s site more user friendly and ultimately more informative,” said Bobbie McCrackin, vice president and public affairs officer of the Atlanta Fed. The Bank’s Web site address remains www.frbatlanta.org.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and sections of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation’s central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
