Atlanta Fed Web Site Adds Inflation Resource

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta today introduced The Inflation Project, a page on the Bank's Web site (frbatlanta.org/research/inflationproject) that provides a compilation of links to inflation indicators, reports and research.

In addition to a brief description of each posted link, The Inflation Project includes a calendar of upcoming data releases and a section highlighting international inflation updates.

"Tracking inflation and being aware of its effect is a vital component of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy. This site pulls together many of the indicators and emerging research that we follow and presents them for a public audience," said Mike Bryan, a vice president in the research department.

New links will be added to The Inflation Project several times a week. All links may be viewed by category or posting date.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation's central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
