McWilliams Appointed to Nashville Branch Board of Directors

Scott McWilliams, executive chairman of the board, Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OHL) LLC, Brentwood, Tenn., has been appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Nashville Branch. His term begins Jan. 1, 2012, and runs through Dec. 31, 2014.

McWilliams has served in his current position at OHL since 2010. He was chief executive officer of OHL from 2001 to 2010 and served from 1990 to 1996 in various positions with increasing responsibility. From 1981 to 1990, he was director of logistics with Kroger.

McWilliams is a member of the board of directors of Quality Packaging Specialists International, the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville and Alive Hospice. He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and Warehousing Education and Research Council. He served on the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Advisory Council on Trade and Transportation. McWilliams is a former board member of the United Way of Middle Tennessee, American Red Cross, Second Harvest Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee in 1981 and was honored with the 2006 Distinguished Service to the Profession Award from the University of Tennessee's Council of Logistics Management.

Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Branch directors provide economic information from their industry and the branch territory to the district Bank's president and head office directors, who use the information in formulating monetary policy and making discount rate recommendations. McWilliams was appointed by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. The Board of Governors appoints three of the directors of the Nashville Branch, and the Atlanta head office directors appoint four.
