Brock Appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Nashville Branch Board of Directors

Benjamin G. Brock, president and chief executive officer of Astec Industries Inc., has been appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Nashville Branch. Brock's term begins January 1, 2018, and runs through December 31, 2020.
Brock joined Astec in 1993 and has held positions of increasing responsibility including salesman, vice president of sales, division president, and group president of Astec's asphalt group. He was named president and chief executive officer in 2013.
Brock is a member of the boards of directors of Astec Industries Inc. He is also a board member of the National Center for Asphalt Technology at Auburn University, and the McCallie School. He is a member of the Young President's Organization. Brock was recognized by the National Stone, Sand, and Gravel Association as the "Grasstops CEO of the Year" in 2015.
Brock received his bachelor's degree from Clemson University in 1993.
Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta branch directors provide economic information from the branch territory to the Reserve Bank president and head office directors, who use the information in monetary policy deliberations and making discount rate recommendations. Brock was appointed to the board of directors of the Nashville Branch by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington DC. The Board of Governors in Washington DC appoints three of the Nashville Branch directors, and the Atlanta head office directors appoint four.
