Residential Real Estate
- The monthly Residential Real Estate and Residential Construction polls were conducted March 6–15, 2017, and reflect activity in February 2017. Forty-two business contacts across the Sixth District participated in the polls: 20 homebuilders and 22 residential brokers.
- The quarterly Commercial Construction poll was conducted January 9–18, 2017, and reflects activity in the fourth quarter of 2016. Fifteen business contacts across the Sixth District participated in the poll. Results reflect the collective views of business contacts working as general contractors, subcontractors, developers, financiers, and building material suppliers.
- The diffusion indexes are calculated as the percentage of total respondents reporting increases minus the percentage reporting declines. Positive values in the index tend to indicate increased activity, and negative values tend to indicate decreased activity.
