State Government Finances - February 2010

January total tax revenues continued to decline for all six Sixth District states. Total tax revenues fell 1.9 percent in Alabama, 5.9 percent in Florida, 10.1 percent in Georgia, 9.8 percent in Louisiana, 4.9 percent in Mississippi, and 1.4 percent in Tennessee (on a three-month moving average basis) from a year earlier.

Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee saw smaller declines in tax collections in January than in December.
