Metro Atlanta's housing market is changing, influenced by schools, anchor institutions, infrastructure investments, and transportation. These changes raise an important question: can equitable development strategies help neighborhoods and the region promote economic growth while providing quality housing for all? This forum will explore the conditions affecting neighborhood revitalization and equitable development, the challenges and opportunities that emerge when revitalizing a community, and the role anchor institutions, transportation, infrastructure, and schools play in this work.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Community and Economic Development group, Enterprise Community Partners, NeighborWorks America, Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership Inc., Georgia Advancing Communities Together Inc., and the Partnership for Southern Equity are hosting a discussion on equitable development strategies for neighborhoods in metro Atlanta on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. at the Atlanta Fed.

Through panel discussions and brainstorming sessions with practitioners and academics at the forefront of these issues, forum attendees will learn about perspectives, strategies, and programs to design and implement effective housing plans and increase affordable housing development and preservation.
