G. Janelle Frost, president and chief executive officer of AMERISAFE Inc., has been appointed and Elizabeth A. Ardoin, senior executive vice president and director of communications, IBERIABANK, has been reappointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's New Orleans Branch.  Their terms begin Jan. 1, 2017, and run through Dec. 31, 2019.

Frost has served in her position since 2015. Prior to that, she was president and chief operating officer from 2014 to 2015 and executive vice president and chief financial officer from 2008 to 2014, and held various positions with AMERISAFE from 1992 to 2008.

Frost is a member of the board of directors of AMERISAFE Inc. and Chamber Southwest Louisiana. She earned a bachelor's degree from McNeese State University in 1992. She was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award by McNeese State University in 2016 and is a Hall of Fame member of the McNeese State University College of Business.

Ardoin has been director of communications of IBERIABANK since 2002. Prior that, she was publisher of the Times of Acadiana, a weekly news publication.

Ardoin received her bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University in 1991 and her certification from the American Bankers Association School of Banking and Marketing in 2005. She also completed Harvard Business School's Executive Education Program–Finance for Senior Executives in 2014.

Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta branch directors provide economic information from their industries and the branch territory to the district bank's president and head office directors, who use the information to formulate monetary policy and make discount rate recommendations. Frost was appointed by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. Ardoin was reappointed by the Atlanta Fed's board of directors. The Board of Governors appoints three of the New Orleans Branch directors, and the Atlanta head office directors appoint four.
