Michael E. Longo has served as president and chief executive officer of Hibbett Inc. since 2019. Founded in 1945, Hibbett Inc. is a leading athletic-inspired fashion and footwear retailer operating more than 1,150 Hibbett Sports and City Gear specialty stores nationwide.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Longo served as chief executive officer of City Gear LLC from 2006 until it was acquired by Hibbett in 2018. He was instrumental in the Hibbett acquisition of City Gear, further expanding Hibbett's portfolio and footprint in 15 central states.
He also worked in leadership roles at AutoZone Inc. from 1992 through 2005, including serving as executive vice president of supply chain and IT development.
Mr. Longo is a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is a former member of the board of directors of Exide Technologies and Heniff Transportation.
He earned his BS in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his MBA from Harvard University.
