Janet Yellen
- I was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1946. I received my doctorate in economics from Yale University.
- In 2014, I became the first woman to serve as the chair of the Fed’s Board of Governors.
- I was a lecturer at the London School of Economics and a member of the faculty at University of California–Berkeley, where I received numerous teaching awards.
