The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta was named seventh on DiversityInc's 17th annual Top 10 Regional Companies for Diversity on May 2, 2018.

The Atlanta Fed recognizes the significant value that a diverse workforce contributes to carrying out its mission. "We are honored to be recognized for the fifth year by DiversityInc as one of the top regional companies," said Raphael Bostic, Atlanta Fed president and chief executive officer.

The DiversityInc Top 50 list, issued yearly since 2001, recognizes the nation's top companies for diversity and inclusion management. These companies excel in hiring, retaining, and promoting women, minorities, people with disabilities, veterans, and LGBT staff.

DiversityInc's extensive annual survey yields an empirically driven ranking based on recruitment, talent development, senior leadership commitment, and supplier diversity. This year's competition was improved by new survey questions, increased emphasis on fairness over chasing numbers, and more sophisticated analysis from DiversityInc's data scientists.

"This recognition from DiversityInc is evidence of our Bank operating with this core belief: only by drawing on the talent, expertise, and perspectives of our entire staff and our external stakeholders will our Bank achieve its greatest potential in fulfilling our mission," said Chapelle Davis, vice president and director, Office of Women and Minority Inclusion. "Our commitment to diversity is reflected at all levels of the organization. And as we enhance aspects of diversity in hiring, employee retention, procurement, and more, DiversityInc's benchmarking is very helpful to us in supporting that continued improvement."
