N. Maria Menendez, chief financial officer of GL Homes, has been appointed, and Keith T. Koenig, president of City Furniture, and Victoria E. Villalba, founder, president, and chief executive officer of Victoria & Associates Career Services Inc., have been reappointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Miami Branch. Their terms begin January 1, 2018, and run through December 31, 2020.

Menendez has served in her current position since 2002. She previously served as chief marketing officer of ANC Rental Corporation and vice president of marketing of Alamo Rent a Car Inc. and Affiliates. Menendez began her career at KPMG serving as senior manager, auditor, and management consultant.

Menendez is a former member of the Pine Crest School board of trustees from 1999 to 2005. She was recognized by Builder Magazine as one of "Home Building's Most Powerful Women in 2013," and by Travel Agent Magazine as one of the "Most Powerful Women in Travel" in 1999.

Menendez received her bachelor of business administration degree in international business from Florida Atlantic University in 1983 and her bachelor degree in accounting from FAU in 1982. She was a certified public accountant in Florida from 1984 to 1995.

Koenig founded City Furniture in 1994 with his late brother, Kevin Koenig.

Koenig is vice chair of the Broward Workshop. He is chairman of Holy Cross Hospital and vice chairman of the board of trustees of the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science.

Koenig received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1973 and an MBA in 1975 from the University of Florida. He received the 2001–02 Furniture Retailer of the Year award, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2003, and the University of Florida's MBA Outstanding Alumnus award in 1997.

Villalba incorporated Victoria & Associates in 1992. Her previous positions include branch manager, TRC Staffing Services; recruiter, Personnel One; and human resources coordinator, Eastern Airlines.

Villalba is a member of the boards of directors of Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, American Red Cross Greater Miami & the Keys Chapter, and Goodwill Industries of South Florida. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Leadership Miami Alumni, United Way of Miami-Dade, Women's Leadership and Financial Stability Council, and the University of Miami Citizens Board.

Villalba received a bachelor's degree in personnel management from Florida Southern College in 1987 and a master's degree in human resource management from Nova Southeastern University in 2000. She attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth's Executive Education Course. She received the Beacon Council Entrepreneur Award and was the Education Fund Honoree in 2012. Other awards and honors include the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Salute to Miami's Leaders, Professional Category in 2010; the American Red Cross Spectrum Award for Women; Hispanic Heritage Council, Hispanic Leadership Award; Dade County Public Schools, School to Career Recognition; and Miami-Dade County Women's Chamber, Thelma Gibson Award.

Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta branch directors provide economic information from their industries and the branch territory to the district bank's president and head office directors, who use the information in discussing monetary policy options and making discount rate recommendations. Koenig was reappointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Miami Branch by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington DC. Menendez was appointed and Villalba was reappointed by the Atlanta Fed's board of directors. The Board of Governors appoints three Miami Branch directors, and the Atlanta head office directors appoint four.
